Mirror’s Edge
Mirror’s Edge was originally released around mid-2007. It was an exciting first person action-adventure game that was received quite well in the gaming community. The game was interesting, challenging and fun. It is a game that takes place in a city that has some kind of “Big Brother” type of government. You are playing the character, Faith, and your job is to work your way through the game completing challenges, and eventually narrowing down your goals to a single major goal which in turn is the main purpose or goal of the game.
Mirror’s Edge had amazing graphics and while it was originally only available for the PS3 and Xbox360 later it was adapted for the PC. The game was critically acclaimed, and wildly popular, yet there still has not been a Mirror’s Edge 2 release even almost 5 years later. The truth is that is that the sales were not quite where the developers would have liked for them to be, but that does not mean that the fans of the game and the critics were not extremely impressed with the game itself. The truth is that the sales may have just been over-projected. It was originally expected to sell around 3 million copies, but fell short of this goal. The 2 million copies that it did sell actually solidified the game as a hit.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the release of the sequel to Mirror’s Edge. Rumors have been flying around about when the release of Mirror’s Edge 2 may occur, and if it is going to happen at all. The fans are sick and tired of all of the speculation, and are just dying to know if there really is going to be a sequel to this exciting and entertaining game.
All of you fans can relax a little bit. There is going to be a Mirror’s Edge 2. It is currently in the development process, but has yet to be completed. The fact is that the developers do not want their games to be single hit games. They want to develop their games as a series, and the only way to do that is to take the leap of faith and launch a sequel to a successful game that might have fallen a little bit short on the sales expectation. Mirror’s Edge 2 will most likely be one of the first new sequels in development.
Here is the bad news. The developers will be releasing a Mirror’s Edge 2 game, but the project is labeled as “in development”. The fact that it is labeled as in development means that the project is planned for being developed, but they have not announced an actual launch or release date as of yet. There is no information that has been released in regards to the synopsis or game play. The game is most likely just in the beginning stages of development, so it will still probably be awhile before the game is actually released for public consumption. The developers are taking another chance on this game, but if the buzz on the web is any indication there is quite a large following that has been anxiously awaiting the release.
