A concept car or truck is a prototype
vehicle displayed by a car manufacturer, usually at auto shows. These
are test runs of vehicles they intend to eventually make available to
the public, usually featuring new technology or styling. Many of
concept trucks never make it to production, and those that do usually
end up being different from their concept versions. Most concept
vehicles take a model of car or truck that is already being produced
and soup it up, adding larger and more powerful engines.
Additionally, many concept trucks feature specialty interiors and
exterior trim kits to make them stand out visually. Several auto
makers have recently produced concept trucks, and here are some of
the fastest around.

Street Truck

Designed by Fastlane, this concept
truck has a 5.7-liter Hemi engine with 500 horsepower. Named
Terramoto, which is Spanish for "earthquake," this truck
will sound like one because of its custom dual exhaust. The goal of
the Fastlane team, when developing the vehicle, was to create a truck
that could compete not only with other trucks in speed but also cars.
In addition to an incredibly powerful engine, the pickup also
features a custom interior, Assanti wheels and a lowering kit. The
vehicle is based on the 2011 Ram 1500 Sport which includes a regular
cab and 6' 4" bed.
