The first serial killer film, M, was released in 1931 and was followed up by Alfred Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt. The public phenomenon of this genre continued on, with movies like Psycho and Silence of the Lambs, and is now seen in TV shows like Dexter or even on talk shows where women tell the co-hosts about her love for the latest incarcerated serial killer.

Seven of the nine victims were stuffed in a walk-in closet while the other two were left on the bed.  Soon after Gretzler and Steelman left, the house guest came home and stayed the night, unaware of the nine dead bodies. That story writes itself.
