Essentially, the information age is really a culmination of all of the past methods of communication. The newest technologies involve updated methods of past media models like radio, TV and print publications. Because of the trajectory of the digital world, some of those mediums appear to be becoming obsolete. The reality is that many of those things have been replaced with products and services that have a more attractive level of access for consumers.

Information Age Attributes
Information is used everywhere and for all purposes. Like education, the people with the best access generally do better than those without it. For instance, when people are connected to the future, they can see how it may enhance their lives. For those who are not privy to this information, it is difficult for them to imagine anything other than what they already have.

The main aspect when it comes to data that is likely to change the most is how information is dealt with. For instance, how it continues to be found and used to make decisions will have a huge impact upon the future. What will separate the successful from the unsuccessful - both individually and professionally could be:
1. How much more information is sought2. How data is used3. How people access information4. How they maintain the information that they have
Data Influence
The influence of the information age and how data is gathered, used and stored has impacted society and entire cultures. It has brought people and communities together in ways that were never possible before. However, it has also demanded that people learn how to cope with its influence. For instance, the very mechanism of how products and services are bought and sold has been affected such that businesses have had to adjust their sales strategies. Additionally, people have had to learn how to use technological devices to find information and the things they need to survive.
Future Data Tech Trends
Advancements in how data is found, used, stored and accessed continues to move at lightning speed. In times prior, data was stored solely on hard drives and in large computer centers. Currently, data has moved to technologies such as the private cloud environment to give people more direct access and at less cost.

The cloud originally started as a resource for the public, such as what is offered by search engine Google or megasales organization, Amazon. In that model, the infrastructure and applications are shared by millions on a worldwide basis.

However, the private cloud became necessary to preserve security, as sensitive financial and other data began to be compromised. Any organization that requires greater security will need to invest in a private cloud. Accordingly, data centers like that of Virginia data center have had to ensure that customers can rely upon the same level of availability and performance as before.
Data has essentially reshaped how businesses operate, as well as how people learn, purchase things and how they entertain themselves. Because of this, when it comes to data, as the song goes, we aint’ seen nothin’ yet. This is why data centers will always have their work cut out for them to keep up with supply, demand and innovation.
