Samsung Galaxy Note 2: It’s Bigger & Better

Days before the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note skeptics were really doubtful about the success of this device. Some even consider the 5.3 inch phone as a laughable spectacle, however days within launch history was made and in some time only Samsung sold more than five million units all around the world. The phone was such a big hit in the market that it forced the manufacturer to come out with another version of Note, i.e., Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Subesquntly, it forced the network service providers to come out with some superb Samsung Galaxy Note 2 deals.

A new improved screen will greet you in Note 2. It has got a brilliant Exynos 4412 chipset that is based on quad core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 CPU that runs on 2 GB of RAM. Note 2 is based on Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean software. Among the most noticeable feature of this device is the S Pen Stylus which can be used for various purposes.The Pen is nicely docked in the bottom right of the corner and has got a nice grip. The stylus is based on Electro Magnetic Resonance or EMR technology and is quite accurate and is not like traditional devices. Like its predecessor, Galaxy Note 2 is gigantic and can be placed between a smartphone and a tablet. You might face difficulty in putting it in your pocket, however considering the utility of the device it is worth to carry. The design of Note 2 is derived from Galaxy S3. It has got a glass front with a rounded back and tapered edges are quite visible in the phone. The shiny trim body of the device comes with a bogus metallic coating. In spite of some plastic feel of the device it does never feel cheap or nasty.

The 5.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen is based on 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It also sports a 16:9 aspect ratio screen and gives you a brilliant video viewing experience. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 splits the screen into halves and allows you to work on two different apps at the same point of time. The powerful quad core hardware of the device doesn’t lead to any lag while browsing the phone or running apps. The interface is smooth and responsive and possesses great challenge to many other devices. The custom TouchWiz UI consists of quite few interesting features and ideas. When you remove the S Pen from the dock, a lot of relevant shortcuts crop up on the screen and allows you to swiftly work on the screen.
