Robby Krieger
Maybe not a household name in his own right, Robby Krieger was (and still sometimes is) the guitarist with The Doors. He used his favourite SG on classics tunes such as 'Love Me Two Times, 'Light My Fire' and 'The End.' The Doors sold more than 32 million albums in the US alone and due to Robby's proficiency on the SG, they didn't even need a bass player.

The lead guitarist with Australian/Scottish legends AC/DC, Young is responsible for some of the best rock riffs ever written such as 'Highway To Hell', 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and 'You Shook Me All Night Long.' The SG is the key to the band's dirty, stripped down sound and the fact that it is so lightweight means that Angus can more easily pull off his tricks such as playing behind his head and his trademark duck walk. Angus, like the SG, just gets better with age.

The first of our famous Les Paul fans, the former Guns N' Roses legend is known for three main reasons:. his massive curly hair piled up on top of his head, his trademark top hat perched on top of that hair and, of course, his sunburst Les Paul. His classic combination of Marshall stack and Les Paul can be heard on some the best rock tracks ever recorded such as 'Sweet Child O' Mine', 'Paradise City' and 'Welcome To The Jungle.' During the 1990s, Slash was responsible for a huge increase in sales of Les Pauls and other Gibson Guitars at Music Junkieand other vendors.
