1. How to clean the trash can in the kitchen – this place is a true paradise for bacteria that can cause harm to your health. This is difficult to avoid as this is the place where you put your waste but at least you can try to limit your direct contact with it by using a trash can with a treadle. This way you will not have to touch the trash can lid every time you want to throw away the trash. Once in a week use water mixed with a spoon of vinegar to clean it.
2. Never use bleach in the kitchen! Regularly clean those Belsize areas in the kitchen that most easily get dirty, do this at least once in two days. Sponges also have a lot of bacteria in them due to the fact that they are very difficult to clean. However, you can sanitize them using one of the following tips:
- Put them in boiling water for about three minutes
- Place them in cold water and then put them in the microwave for about three minutes
- Wash them in the dish washer
Drying vases and bottles can be a really hard task – if you do not wipe the water that remains inside them after washing the water might cause discoloration. You will easily deal with this task by placing inside the vase or the bottle a funnel of paper cloth. It will absorb the wet that might remain inside.
4. How to remove dark stains from the cutlery. Place the cutlery into a pot and spread saleratus all over them. Add boiling water until the cutlery is covered and wait for a couple of minutes (until you see the stains have disappeared). Take the cutlery and wipe them with a cotton cloth.
5. How to remove bad odour from the microwave
Make a mixture of 50 percent water and 50 percent apple cider vinegar. Place it in the microwave and turn it on the highest level for about five minutes. When the mixture starts boiling it will remove persistent odour as well as stains on its walls. Take the mixture out, wipe the walls of the microwave with a clean cloth and leave it open for a couple of minutes.
6. How to clean the sink canal
First and most important – before washing the dishes throw away all food remaining. Two or three times a week pour hot water directly into the canal. This will also help in case the canal is clogged.
Once a week pour a spoon of saleratus directly into the canal and right after it – a quarter of glass of vinegar and leave it for about thirty minutes. Then pour hot water in the canal, it will wash away all bad odours.
